Great product; super quality.

Wow. Just wow.

I've had many AnkerDirect products before, and as soon as I saw this Nebula projector, I knew it would be fantastic. Anker have a brilliant reputation for making high quality, high functionality and premium electronics, and this projector is certainly no exception. It certainly fits the bill as a high-end, immersive experience projector.

The first thing that strikes you out of the box is the exceptional build quality of the projector. The feel is robust, solid yet luxurious at the same time. There are no corners cut, and you can tell. It's quite weighty, but what can you expect for such an amazing piece of equipment, and was not too heavy in the long run.
The built-in handle allows for quick and easy transportation, which is something that other projectors of sorts lack.

I'd like to talk about the Android TV functionality and general 'smart'-ness of this projector. I absolutely love the functionality that the OS provides with this projector. Unlike others, which involve serious amounts of cables and messing, this operating system provides all the streaming services that you need built-in. Brilliant. We could actually have this replacing our TV in the future, but we're thinking about basing our cinema room around this projector instead. It's truly that good.

The picture quality, although this is only the 1080p version, is crystal. The colours are deep and diverse, with 2400 ISO Lumens bringing all shades to life. It actually looks better than our TV does. It's so quick and easy to setup too, and if you're toying as to whether it'll be a faff to sort out and setup, your worries are no more. This is so easy to use, it's no different to a normal TV in ease of use, if not easier.

The Auto Keystone Correction is a fantastic feature, and cannot be understated. If, like me, you had no idea what this was beforehand, it's basically a complete fixer of distortions of images. You'll never need to tilt your head or switch seats for a better view, the projector does it all for you.

The sound quality is superb, something that other projectors skimp out on. The projector is not as noisy as others, which can sometimes ruin the experience, and the Dolby audio certainly packs a punch.

I'd say the price fits the product. You get what you pay for, and I think this truly is a premium projector at a reasonably acceptable price level. It's arguable as to whether you need the upgrade to 4K, as in my experience, this 1080p model has been more than enough. Anker's build quality is sublime, and the built-in features are second-to-none.

Simply phenomenal. The best piece of tech I own

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but the ease of set up, quality and application to a modern home is unbelievable. This is not just a projector, this is an Android TV, a streaming device all in one exceptionally high quality package. The look and design of the projector is very nice, it is sleek and modern in metallic grey and matte black colours, with a vibrant crimson red around the projector eye; it’s a beautiful looking piece of tech. Its rectangular cuboid design with rounded corners feels like it is designed to be unobtrusive and certainly doesn't stick out when placed with other tech items. Its general dimens are 26.3cm x 16.5cm x 21.8cm so it isn’t tiny, but I honestly expected it to be much larger than it is. It is also very lightweight so can be easily carried around. My favourite design feature is that the top of the projector is tailored with a handle built in so that it is easily transportable. Set up is incredibly easy and only involves attaching the Android 10.0 memory stick device into the back, setting up wifi and signing into the needed application; all of this is talked through upon set up but the app does provide help if needed.

To break down the nuts and bolts of the image quality, the projector is laser based and features 2400 ISO lumens of brightness. In essence, what this means is that for a projector it is incredibly bright, definitely brighter than any cheaper projector I have had in the past.
I have this set up in my office against a white wall and can attest that it is viewable throughout the entire day, though it has to be said that like any other projector on the market, it does struggle in full sunlight and is best with a bit of shade. The image quality itself is 1080pp and runs at this consistently to provide a clear image.

Everything on the projector can be controlled with the controller provided, Though the Nebula companion app actually has more functionality than the remote that is provided and there are even more easily accessible options, such as manual auto-focus. One of my favourite features is that the app has an amazing live support assistance that I used to work out how to switch between HDMI and Android Tv settings and the service worked perfectly, I was connected to someone via live chat and the issue was addressed in minutes. Though I found you can also have the entire manual for the device (and any other quite frankly) simply through using the search feature which is great for a quick reference. The controller that is provided works as intended, I haven't been able to fully utilise all of the features to do with google home but everything else works fine, it simply calibrates to your projector on set up and is linked from there on. The only thing I have noticed is that the button to switch between the Android Tv and HDMI mode can sometimes be a little unresponsive and take a few tries, though to be honest, I have started to use my phone as the main controller.

The HDMI port is also just as good an option for projection. I have my PS5 hooked up to this to do casual gaming on and again, the image is exceptional. I was initially worried that the projector would suffer from blurring and hazing around the edges like cheaper projectors can due to the refraction of the projection, but no, everything is crystal clear. At 1080p the projector can keep up with anything that is going on screen without tearing or having any loss of image quality, even on the more graphically driven games. I did try out hooking the HDMI up to my laptop as well and this is the only place I have experienced any lagging and stuttering with the projector, though I believe this could be due to the laptop and projector not being calibrated properly and struggling to communicate more than the projector being at fault as it has worked so well in every other category.

Soundwise, the speaker provided in the feature is competent and provides a nice relatively balanced sound, though probably a bit on the low end frequency-wise for me, it does get loud though without distorting which is good. The only issue with this is that you really have to have the projector in front and centre of you to benefit fully from the sound. Though a handy feature I have found to remedy this is the ability to connect bluetooth devices to the projector. This is not only handy for hooking up to a soundbar or stereo system you may have, but you can also attach headphones to the device which has been handy for late night watching whilst the rest of the house is asleep.

There are also so many small quality of life features that come with this projector that are too numerous to mention. For example, if you step in front of the beam the screen will dim considerably and a safety message will appear, then it will return to normal once the bean is uninterrupted again. Though I do have to mention what is probably the main selling mod-con feature which is the ‘Intelligent Environment...

Seriously good!

Very High Quality!
We ordered this after debating on upgrading our tv and so glad we did!

Upon arrival instantly got good vibes, really well packaged and quality feeling, on opening the box your greeted with a nice inner box housing a really well thought-out. The remote is in a separate box. It’s well packaged and the remote is a nice durable quality. All the buttons are big and clear and easy to read. You also have the following buttons on the remote -(nexflix,youtube,Amazon prime & Disney plus). Everything you need on one remote. No need for multiple remotes.

The projector itself is a really nice bit of tech! 1080p full HD , Grey in colour and so handy having the really sturdy handle on top for moving & setup! It feels really durable and amazing quality. Doesn’t feel like it would break easy it is a good enough size also to be stored away. The box it comes in is great to keep for storage as it’s a good quality box.

Almost like having a cinema at home, simple and easy to set up no more difficult to unboxing & setting up a tv.

Blown away by picture, the picture is amazing quality. Crystal clear. This type of projector doesn’t have to be used in a dark room the picture quality is just as good in a light room. If you really wanted this could be used outside, could be used also for presentations the choices are endless for this amazing projector.

Would 1000% highly recommend to anyone. You would not need to have a tv if you had this projector. I my self have swapped it over from a tv to this. I don’t even have a projector screen I simply painted my wall again to a pure white and it projects off there.

I cannot recommend this enough. The quality of this projector is immense. The price is very reasonable for the quality of this projector. I think in my opinion it’s worth way more. Thank you for this you’ve changed the way we watch tv. It’s like being at the cinema!

Makes watching TV and movies a vivid experience

If you are wondering what more a laser projector could bring to the experience of watching TV and films other than the obvious adjustable picture size, all you need to do is watch any Star Wars film that way and the answer becomes obvious. Normal TVs cannot match the way that the lightsaber and laser effects pop out of the screen at you!

The projector unit is not too heavy and it has a solid carry handle, which makes it very portable. If you have wireless internet then all you need to do is move it to somewhere within range and plug it into a power socket. I have a Disney Plus subscription, so I watched the last episode of the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series on it, with the projector providing the sound, and it just lifted the whole experience up so much.

Setting up the projector to your settings and passwords is a one-time thing, so no repeat setup is needed. A software update is needed the first time you ever switch on, and you will occasionally be prompted over time for further downloads to keep the unit or the remote control updated. The system uses Google Android as its base, so once you log in there are a whole range of options available to you, such as YouTube or paid subscription services such as Netflix.

Setting the brightness or volume is easy – you can do it from the top of the unit or by using the included remote control – and I haven’t needed to touch the focus or keystone settings once because the projector automatically sets them for you, which is excellent. You can have the picture quite bright if you want to, which is especially useful if you want to use it out in the garden by projecting it onto a white wall or garage door. Stand in front of it and a message comes up to say: “To protect your eyesight, please keep a distance from the projector”. There is also a blank or colour screensaver you can enable and adjust the timing (with a minimum of 5 minutes), and an auto-off (after a minimum of 30 minutes).

There is a HDMI connection on the unit as well, and that makes it ideal for work purposes. I’ve been using it as a second screen for home working. Most of the time I do not need audio for work; I just need to see the laptop screen and second screen provided by the projector. Therefore, there would be a problem if the Nebula was overly noisy, but it isn’t too loud really and I stopped noticing it quite quickly.

I’m very happy with the projector, but you’re probably wondering if there’s anything I do not like about it that maybe I should tell you. There is one thing I’m worried about, and that is the lack of a lens cover at the front. It’s just open to the risk of being scratched when transported, and this is the sort of projector many people will want to take places. There is no carry case included, so I would advise that you keep the sturdy box it comes in.
